0.2 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft (label range 0.1–0.2). The Atticus generic of Tenacity — same 40% mesotrione, same fl oz rates. Sold in an 8 oz bottle with a marked syringe, which helps at these fractions-of-an-ounce doses. The label restricts broadcast on established home lawns unless you are renovating or reseeding, because whitening is normal and looks worse on a lawn you were not planning to reset.
Label wants 1 gal of water per 1,000 sq ft — that puts a 2 gal tank at 2,000 sq ft.
- Non-ionic surfactant, required for post-emergent work — 1½ tsp per gallon.
- Post-emergent: let it dry on the leaf. Pre-emergent: water in 0.15 inch if no rain inside 10 days.
- Keep off until dry.
- 16 fl oz per acre a year (about 0.37 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft); 14 days minimum between passes.
- Same species limits as Tenacity: cool-season turf; 0.115 fl oz is the pre-emergent ceiling on perennial rye and fine fescue. St. Augustine only on sod farms. Not for bentgrass, bermuda, zoysia, or kikuyu on broadcast passes.
- Read the label — it governs, not this page.
